An evening for photographers of all levels — members and non-members welcome.

About the Event

Come find out what the Maine PPA is all about! Whether you're a longtime member or just curious about joining, this casual evening is the perfect chance to meet fellow photographers, swap stories, and geek out about all things photography.

We'll be gathering at the beautiful Gardens at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester for an evening of community, conversation, and fun activities.

Free and open to members and non-members alike. We hope to see you there!

Street Photography Retreat with Barbara Peacock (August 14, 2026)

Challenge the portrait norm with street photography!

This 3 day retreat includes a introductory lecture on Friday evening, daily meetings at photo headquarters, photo excursions with Barbara, and live critique of each student’s work.

Photo Headquarters in West End: 1 room with Queen Bed, $400 for 3 nights

Holiday Inn by the Bay: 2 Queens, $250/night

9:30am Image Submission Deadline
10am-1pm Image Review at Photo Headquarters (Order lunch on your own to eat during review)
1pm Old Orchard Beach Trip or Downtown Portland
5pm Meetup at Photo Headquarters - walk to Old Port
7:33pm Sunset
8:00pm Group Dinner at Little Tap House (optional)

SUNDAY
7am Rise & Shooting on your own maximize your time!

9:30am Image Submission Deadline

10:30am-12:30pm Image Review at Photo Headquarters
1pm Group Lunch at Ugly Duckling

2:30-3:30pm Review top 3 images from each photographer at Photo Headquarters

4:00pm Social Time/Prep for Dinner
