Corey Potter BONUS DAY - "Blogging in 2020, A Hands-On Workshop to 10x Your Traffic"

You may have heard someone say that blogging is the best way to improve your SEO. The truth is, if you are blogging like most photographers and small business owners have been blogging for the past 10 years, you are probably wasting your time.

What if I told you that you should actually be blogging LESS frequently, and that you don't necessarily need to blog your client sessions or weddings at all?

What if you could 10x your website's traffic within the next year, creating not only more leads, but more authority and opportunities in general?

That is exactly what you will learn how to do in this workshop.

In this "hands-on" workshop you will learn my EXACT method for successful content marketing. I have spent years learning how to find the right topics, and how to create content around those topics that Google will love. I've used this method for all kinds of photography websites and even sites in completely different industries. My repeatable process works time and time again, not only for me, but also for the students who have implemented it.

Be sure to bring a laptop or tablet, because we'll be learning by doing.

The class will start by brainstorming topics. We'll talk about where to get inspiration, and how to save your ideas.

After we've come up with a list of ideas, we'll narrow those ideas down and pick the ones that are most likely to be winners.

You'll get to pick your own "winning" idea, and we'll move on to the research phase. Using my research template, we'll gather all of the information needed for a successful post.

Next up, you'll learn about how to write an outline, including tips on proper heading structure. The research and outline steps are crucial, and if you can master these, you'll also have the ability to outsource your writing (I'll give you my best tips).

Once we have outlines written, it is time to fill in the content. We'll take some time to actually write our posts. Some people will be able to finish them completely, but even if not, I want to help you overcome some of the main roadblocks when it comes to writing. I'll also give you some secret tips on how to win more featured snippets in search engines.

Finally, we'll work on the finishing touches. We'll talk about special SEO considerations, how many images to include, how to compress and optimize your images, and how to write a perfect title and meta description.

To wrap up the class, we'll talk a bit about how you should promote your post and how you can follow up on your progress using Google Analytics and Search Console. I'll also give you some tips on how to improve long term performance using the data you collect!

This will be a full day, and you'll have to put in some work... but you will walk away with an unfair advantage in your market. You'll have a process and a template for successful content marketing in 2020, and you'll be well on your way to driving significantly more traffic to your website!
