Learn food styling, photo and editing techniques from published food and product photographer, Lauren Lear! Follow Lauren as she chooses backgrounds and surfaces, places props, shoots with natural and artificial light and demonstrates her editing workflow.
Each food scene will be available to practice shooting, so bring your camera & tripod!
This is a great opportunity to build your portfolio, practice with an instructor present, meet others and earn a PPA merit!
About Lauren Lear:
Lauren Lear is a food photographer and stylist in Portland, Maine, with over 15 years of photography experience and eight years exclusively working with food/drink/product photography. Her love of food, cooking, and photography finally came together in 2014 when she photographed for The Holy Donut.
Since then her love of photography and styling grew from taking workshops to photographing for Maine Spirits and styling for Twisted Tea.
She has also photographed for Captain Mowatt’s, Bite Into Maine, Atlantic Sea Farms, Schlotterbeck & Foss, and Pineland Farms. Lauren has been published in Northshore Magazine, Travel + Leisure, and Food & Wine. She works with businesses of all sizes including restaurants, small to large food companies, web designers, and ad agencies.
She’s also launching, The Photo Kitchen, a rental photo studio, in January of 2023!
